I'm curious about the direction of this conversation (not just on TD but in the future of America). Pedophilia is something that I think will be a hot topic once transgenderism dies down. Not that it will be promoted or "slippery sloped" into being legal, but rather something that is not chastised as long as the people involved aren't physically harming children.

There are many, many more conversations on Reddit that tend to lean towards forgiving pedophiles for their desires. In fact, there was an AMA that championed a guy for admitting that he was a pedophile and turning himself into the police after viewing some CP. He wasn't championed for removing himself from society but rather for getting the help he needs.
I don't know if I can look at those who fantasize about having sex with children, who are unable to offer consent, which therefore means it is rape, and think that they deserve help. They deserve to be fixed or eradicated from society. Helped? Way too positive of a verb.

I understand that not everyone likes the same shite. I accept homosexuality on the fact that they can do whatever they want, it's a free country. Doesn't mean I have to wrap my mind around it. Look it's not like this is something I sit around at night pondering. I was just adding to this who pedophilia conversation and trying to understand the mindset of someone attracted to kids.

I don't think that there will ever be any kind of acceptance for this. Anyone who does is clearly harming children. This would probably be a tipping point where sterilizing people would come into play. They are fricking up these kids heads, and spreading a virus that kills people from the inside out.

I'm not sure how this conversation will play out. All I know is that the pedophiles (and these were serial offenders with looong records who were doing group therapy to keep up with their parole conditions) I met were wired different from you and I. The reasons for this have been argued for a long time. The reason they scared the shite out of me was that they knew that society viewed their pedophilia as wrong and that they would be scarring their victims for life, but they DID NOT care. That was how they got their rocks off.

Serious question: When virtual reality gets to the point where people can simulate sexual experience, will pedophiles be allowed to stimulate these experiences?
I'm kinda torn on this one, they're not hurting anyone but it still seems like we as a society would be condoning it.

Maybe I'm the minority, but I think any child predator arrested and convicted should me chemically castrated. Every single one. I don't know why this is not done.
