I’m with the boomers on this one

I refuse to pay for a music app. I still download songs to my computer via iTunes.

I have too many, and I'm not disciplined enough to turn some of them off and plan when to enable them and watch their content.

Don't worry, there are "free" services that will do this for you, only at the cost of scraping every bit of your banking transactional data every month.

are car-based subscription add-ons
I pay like $6/mo for wireless service in my car. Fine, it’s a service fee to use the network, no different than my cell phone.

But things like having the hardware for heated seats, but needing to pay a subscription fee to use them, that’s total BS.

I pay $7000/per year in software subscriptions when I used to be able to just buy the software and "own" it. Awesome! I can't wait to retire from this dogchit.

Do you get free upgrades? How often would you have had to replace that software with newer software in the past?

This used to be me, but a couple years ago Apple decided that every tune I wanted to purchase was only available with Apple Music sub.

My Eight Sleep autopilot app is like $15 / mo. It's a remote control app on my phone. LeSigh

I had to google to see what is was. You pay $15/month for an app to help you sleep better?? What does it do that you didn't already know (or should've known)?? Not flaming. Serious question.

Yes, new versions come out every year, but still using some of the software I bought 10years ago.

For the guy that says pirate the software... I have in the past, but I got busted once and threatened with legal action, so no more of that. Can't really do that when I'm working with and sharing files with people all over the country either.

The ones that really get my hackles up though are car-based subscription add-ons.

Add that on top of one remote key and no spare tire.
