If you knew anything about me you'd not be so bold with your labels. I simple asked what I might expect to walk in to while waiting for the DA. So go back down to your mom's basement and STFU.

Honestly, quit complaining.
If you were on trial and mystery footage came out of nowhere, you would want the option of opportunity to question this and the state to be required to show it is legitimate

Can you tell them your fee is $500/day?
Witness fee for being subpoenaed is apparently $25 per day. There is also a per dime of $5 per day for hotel and meals. That’s a cheap hotel!

But I need to testify to what? That my unattended camera system captured the footage and I pulled it from the NVR and provided it to the cops?
Yes.

Just got the notice in the mail yesterday evening
ETA: Misread, and it's a notice to expect a subpoena. That makes more sense.
Anyway, "fighting the charges" just means they haven't accepted an offer yet. This is just the ADA covering their arse. It will likely resolve. With that said, I'm not sure why the general public has this idea that people who are "clearly guilty" should just plead guilty as charged at arraignment. That's not how any of this shite works

It's not uncommon for defendants to accept the plea deal the day of trial. So don't be surprised if you show up and they tell you they don't need you.
