Most people show up to class when needed and then live their own semi-adult lives in college. Not being able to eat some damn chicken just because some idiot who decided to join 15 clubs as if they're in high school ruined it would fricking suck. Stories like this always bother me because it is always one or two vocal 'tards who speak for everyone else and media gets their hands on it and it turns into a story. More often than not, the collective body of people doesn't feel the same way.
EDIT: And FYI I'm quite the gay-loving liberal.

I really can't think of one that someone has actually requested, but I would say that if they demanded unreasonable affirmative action that would count.

Wow, you know that is not true. I'm not a racist. The elected students aren't "minority" rule. They were elected through a valid election process. If some didn't vote, that is their problem.
You seem to forget that the customers of a college are the students. What they want, they should get.

Isn't this something that can be resolved on its own though?
If the student body is that offended by CFA, then they won't eat there. CFA would lose money and pull the store from that location.
If the store succeeds, then what would that tell you?
