Some folks aren't allowed to have opinions or an identity. The other side thinks their opinion is all that matters and their identity changes on of they want to be gay, an animal, or a mythical creature without judgment

As long as you all don't have a problem with students wearing a Muslim flag or nazi flag shirt, this should be cool.

Student wanted to cause a stir and he got his wish

Here's a fun experiment. Get your kid to tell a teacher a racial slur. He will get suspended, and you will learn freedom of speech does not exist in schools.

freedom of speech doesn't absolve you from the consequence of WHAT you say, dipshit... why is that so fricking hard to understand?

I have no problem with this. Schools have the right to squelch "free speech" if such speech causes a hostile learning environment.

I agree with this and will go as far as to say that if it distracted just one kid from being able to learn then there should be something done.

However, what I do have a problem with is, if a Mexican illegal student showed up to school at say, Highland Park HS in Dallas (99 percent white)... wearing a Mexican flag and causing consternation... the white liberals would be tripping all over themselves about how it's a free-speech issue and how whitey should just get over it.

I agree with this too, it doesn't go both ways. It is the left throwing rocks and getting mad when they don't hit their target. I have a few friends on Facebook that are ultra left and i leave them on there to just laugh at their bullshite. They go around calling everyone bigots for not believing exactly what they believe and I told them that they are being bigots for not accepting others' views on those subjects, they damn near got fighting mad about it.

Being from the South, I was always amazed of all the racist Northerners I would come across.
The national opinion is that racist only live down south. I realized that it was only deflection by the media. The South is just an easy target but in all reality race relations are better down here than up north.
