Thats right down the street from where my great aunt lives. Crazy stuff. I guess I ought to give her a call

West TX and OK are burning up. Too lazy to pull the stats on the Amarillo rainfall deficit but it’s shocking the lack of rain out there. Dust bowl type deficit.

You guys are late to the party. It’s been burning around our land near Rhea, OK since Thurdsay and still going.

Drought monitor for Texas
and Drought monitor for Oklahoma

Both have lots of comparisons with recent drought history and you may be able to get to individual county data through these.

That sucks, the good thing is that it will grow back eventually, main thing is to hope that no one got hurt. We lost 160 acres of pasture to the fire on Friday, luckily we were able to get there right before it was too late and move the cattle to safety.

Yep, we’re pretty lucky all that was lost is some fence, many people have lost their houses and cattle.

I heard that a cotton gin caught on fire somewhere down there as well. It’s crazy that these fires have burnt up 600+ square miles of land in the past few days and are still going.
