Chicken Originally was called Ptarmigan but the early miners couldn't spell it.
Anaktuvuk Pass. Eskimo name for a village in the pass. River runs through the pass called the "John river." Anaktuvuk means "where the caribou shite"
Lucky Me. Technically part of Juneau, but it got it's name from the land lottery where folks had their name drawn. Winners called it "Lucky Me."
Bunch of native names I can't pronounce.
