strange situation happening in Rouzan \ cops called twice \ random mercedes parked there

I am following a situation through Next Door. A Mercedes is apparently parked in front of someone's house that doesn't belong to anyone on the street. One of the windows has been smashed out but had to have happened somewhere else since there is no glass on the ground. The owner's dead cell phone in the cup holder, her license, etc are all in the car.

One of the neighbors calls the cops at lunch and they tell her they cant do anything about it and its "parked legally"

The smashed window does seem suspicious? The dead cell phone and license in the car doesnt seem suspicious?

Around 9pm, the cops were called out for second time because the car is still there but didnt do anything about it really.

The cop commented to my husband “i know how my wife can be”. My husband said well i think this is weird too and i don’t want this car in front of my house either. He wasn’t even going to look into further until i told him her dead cell phone and personal belongings are scattered on the front seat. I also told him according to her Facebook she doesn’t live in Baton Rouge, she’s got a boyfriend that beats her, and she’s been to jail for habitual theft. At that point he looked into it further and called in about getting it towed bc it was technically off the curb and on the street....but since there are other cars parked the same way he said if they tow it from a public street and she shows up to get her car because she’s been “drunk” somewhere they can be sued. If something does get reported he doesn’t want to enter the car in case it messes up something later. Sooo, we basically just have to wait. He said he’d keep coming around to check on it and filed a report. That’s about all he can do right now.

Just had 2 more officers come by and apologize for the lack of response by the other 2 officers. Apparently multiple people have called about it. They’ve tagged the car...if it’s not gone by the 5th it will be towed. He said if this were his house he would not want this car there either.
