Lafayette checking in. Good luck to all in the path. #shedstrong

ETA: shed fark from a storm a few years back, don't remember which one. Probably the year after the blue shed storm.

The 4 AM path update was based on which time of the model runs?

There are models being run now that have moved it west of that 4AM track, correct?

I think so but it’s not a huge shift. But if you are in the Lafayette area, I understand your angst.

Honestly most places need to either close or call half a day today so tomorrow isn’t an absolutely clusterfrick- don’t get me wrong- it will be but at least give more people time to pack and GTFO.

Agreed...and High school football jamborees should be canceled Friday Night...sorry HS football fans.

How much faith should we have in this map here at this point in LC?

Hopefully we should be good this time. Today will tell us a lot

Hard to imagine a direct hit to LC given the forecast. Even if they are wrong by a lot, you would think we would be on the west side and avoid the worst of it. Lafayette is the city that I think has the most to lose/gain with today’s forecasts.

Yeah unless something drastic occurs LC should be getting a break.

We got LC people saying, "NO! Don't move west! You're good right there!" Meaning screw all the BR people.

BR people are like "move east...please"

NOLA's like "We've been through enough already"

It does suck. I live in LC, have relatives in Jeff Davis and Acadia, and close friends in Lafayette, BR, and NOLA. If I avoid it, someone I’m close too is going to have rough next few days. I’m sure I’m not the only person like this. It’s south LA. Everyone has friends up and down I-10.

I don’t want this to be bad for anybody but the morbid curiosity in me wants to see how badly Destroya would mismanage this.

Looks like BR won't be so lucky this year.

Hope everyone in the path on the coast has a plan to gtfo. I'm over here considering leaving 100 miles inland

HMON and HMWF composite models have both moved intensity now from 1 to 3 basically to 3 to 5. This is basically Katrina lite as damn thing is going right up the loop current with 85-88 surface but really down 20 feet. Don’t be caught from guard. (Katrina had some areas with 98 surface, I fished it week before in Billfish classic, so hot most beautiful rips weedlines in colbalt blue water I have ever seen between URSA and Rampowell were fishless

It was a really weird thread to post a multi paragraph anti-Semitic rant, do you really think Jews control the weather?
