It's just that you can find a run that shifts here and there, but the last couple runs from the major models have been quite consistent. The HMON and GFS have moved like 25 miles east combined, while the HWRF is actually slightly west of where it was at 12z.

Ultimately the broader array of ensembles are pretty consistent. The east trend has slowed whatever momentum it had, and there is only so far east it could really get with the ridge doing the steering.

Can you explain the dropsonde?

I know the lines on the right hand side correspond to wind direction and intensity, but what other info do you get from this?

That's just a sounding from the model. Check out the legend in the top left.

The "center" is still pretty broad. Hard to take a wobble seriously with a good center, much less something like this.

You can quickly see shear magnitude from that. Also, it tells you about where the shear is vertically. Plus, it informs the direction the storm will move as well.

The left hand side shows temp and dew point to show if theres dry air somewhere.

Its a quick visual to get a bunch of useful information.

Most people in this thread are saying the track isn't going to move too much

Heard someone say it's still disorganized and speeding up, one other said the weakest projection is still a Cat 3, another said something about rocket fuel

Learn who to pay attention to. Rds and Duke are the main two to listen to.

Slakster and Deltaland pretend they know what they are talking about, but are mainly attention whores.

Then pay very close attention to PJ, because the exact opposite of what he says is typically what happens.

I've already written Monday off. Bitch could curve hard enough to go up the east coast, still not going in. Let's just call it solidarity in a tough time of this country

Whoa. Deltaland has never sniffed my hurricane thread tier, whatever that may be.

That being said, the attention whore conclusion is pretty sound.

Deltaland has a great character, honed over time to be the perfect kind of troll. But he isnt all that useful.
