Yea that whole little corner of Kenner lit up today on the map, but I have no idea if it's right.

I hope it's correct, I want to see progress, don't care where.

Same. Roof/fence type wind damage. The biggest travesty was the four kegs of beer I’m going to have to pitch out. Just made a damn West Coast IPA too.

My parents have power in Chateau Estates but I’m not sure if it’s the whole neighborhood or not.

I guess I went brain dead for a second and I thought this was a brag. Like you were saying your folks run Chateau Estates.

I was in Publix a bit ago, and they have started their register donation campaign for Hurricane Ida relief. They also donated $250k to the Red Cross and United Way.

They often have stuff like that going, and I'm wondering how much makes it to the people who need it. Is there anywhere you can check stuff like that?

I find it hard to believe that there wasn't at least a brief spin-up in New York.

This probably put down something weak and short lived:

There's no particular couplet there that screams tornado, but worse looking couplets produced that day.

I've heard good stuff about Samaritan's Purse. Are they based in Louisiana? I know Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty works with them a good bit.

Not sure but I know they tried to help with medical tents in NYC last year and got kicked out iirc. They also fed a ton of people last year in LC as did the other Here to Serve.

Those and local friends helping particular families in the affected areas will be my go tos.

I'm too emotional of a person to go down there right now .. when things calm down in that area, I hope to get with groups from here that are going to cook/feed. I'd just be in the way of clean up for the trees, etc at this point.

Zero tornadoes in Louisiana? The North Shore might disagree. I can clearly see paths through wooded lots and not just from the east.
