By law, if you have a weatherman's license, you should have to submit the final hurricane path overlaid with your first cone. If the path leaves your cone you lose your license for one year.

You really have a hard-on for the cone, don't you? lol

Hey guys. First time being able to get internet since Sunday at 7 pm.

I’m on west side of Ponchatoula and it’s an absolute war zone. It will be a month or more without power. Every line is down. Trees on every road. Hope you all made it through safe.

Happy first day of Fall everyone!
There is a Meteorological Fall (using the calendar months of September-November) and the Astrological Fall (this year beginning on 22 September) that are accepted as the definitions of Fall.

Astrological Fall is more commonly accepted in North America and I was getting ready to flame you until I read up on it.

Terrebonne Parish is now open for people to return home. If you want, hit up the Terrebonne Office of Emergency Preparedness Facebook, the Sheriff spoke and got pretty emotional. They're having a tough time. I can tell you first hand today that Terrebonne got raked. I'll be in Lafourche tomorrow but I'm only expecting worse conditions.

And there aren’t plans atm to rescue them.

100 guys on a drill ship been through hell and they’re being told to drain the boat or whatever and many aren’t mentally capable atm

Go see page 4 of my post on OT — posted update.

If this was law, I would imagine every weatherperson would cover the entire Western Hemisphere with their cone and we'd be no better for it

The cone size would have to be regulated.

I'm just messing around. I posted that lightheartedly because the heat sucks arse, but we are turning a corner into Fall. In a few weeks, we'll all be hopefully cooler. But it is Meteorological Fall start today, not Astronomical Fall, which is the 22nd.

But again my post was meant to be a positive thing, not an assholish comment.
