Max wind radius is only 20 nautical miles at the moment.
Not sure what is meant by "max winds", but hurricane force winds extend outward up to 45 miles from the center and tropical storm force winds extend up to 175 miles from the center.

Hotel updates:
Hilton Brands is what I checked.
Pensacola is filling up. PCB is full. I got a newer Hampton in Orlando on I-Drive further West.
Orlando is filling up.
Champions Gate off I-4 may be West enough and still have rooms too. It's a resort with kid stuff if you guys need that.

I assume it just means what it says. 120mph sustained extends 20nm from center.
Where are yall getting the force wind radius exact number?
Also, could someone explain to me the difference between the 00z-18z models? Obviously it's representative of time, but is there any supposed difference in accuracy among the various time models?

If the game is canceled or postponed in anyway because florida refused to move the game it should count as a forfeit for florida

It would be smacking Orlando with high winds and rain.

OK. I have better shite to worry about. People keep asking me about this. I may not have a house and you are asking me about a football game.

Usually included somewhere in the public advisories from the NHC

The more recent the model run, the more accurate presumably. The 00z Wednesday model is preferable to the 18z Tuesday model, but the 18z Wednesday model should be even more accurate. Etc.
ETA: In the interim of course. 48 hours out is still 48 hours out regardless of model run, but the forecast for Friday at noon should get better as we get closer.

For a good laugh, check out the idiot discussions on the rant. It's embarrassing.
I hope all of you on the FL coast get lucky and see an abrupt turn to the East. Good luck!

This. LSU fans are pathetic. They want a football game.... They couldn't care less about any people's lives in FLA. they really want the game moved to Tiger Stadium cause they think they need all the advantages they can get to WIN A FOOTBALL GAME. The rest of FLA could fall off the map, they DO NOT care.

Peej go away. I want this thing to hook a hard right. I don't care about a game ... What I do care about is safety and I think Florida officials are being ridiculous.

You truly are special. Don't ever change (and please don't predict an LSU win)
