I don't think you can predict the strength that far in advance with much certainty. They haven't been that accurate way in advance.

Topsail Island looks to be in the path as well.

One side of that island is having severe erosion issues as it is. One hurricane could literally wipe out large swaths of it.

Yeah, all of those outer islands in NC would be in trouble. There's been so much erosion that large portions of them are no rebuild zones. Ocean Isle comes to mind.

local mets saying we could have 70 mph winds on Friday. Weather to go downhill starting Wed. night thru Friday night/Saturday depending upon forward speed of storm. Could be worse depending upon proximity.
