Models seem to be trending to this getting trapped under the ridge next week.

No, clue. It would prevent the system from rapidly moving out to sea or into the NE. Beyond that, the 18z GFS has it grind up the SE, the 12z Euro stalls it over the Bahamas, the 12z Euro Control moves west into the Gulf... All possible outcomes, if a ridge has time to build over the top.
