Wow. I lived right there along that sea wall a few blocks from A1A Alehouse. That's gonna be a mess, especially Anastasia island. RIP Conch House restaurant and bar.

The models that have it coming into the gulf have it as a weak system that stays in the Southern GOM. I don't think you should worry about that at this moment.

Looks like he is in Daytona Beach right now.

At this point I don't think wind is the primary concern. Flooding is the issue

Apparently it's a legit accusation. The reported winds by the NWC and the Weather Channel are no where near the actual recorded winds. Starting to make national news.

The recorded winds by the NHC and the winds of the storm are offshore. Not sure what the basis for these falsified reports may be.

The accusation is the NOAA is the only source of the nationally "reported" data but that the actual locally recorded data is WAY off - basically they are pushing the climate change agenda.

Is that true?

Recon data is released in realtime and anyone can access it. The NHC interrupts this data and releases updates. Private sector mets and researchers are doing the exact same thing. If NHC was fudging reports they would get called on it with the quickness.

Well I'm pretty sure that's what's happening, apparently. They are being called out but they're denying it.

No power for me here in Orlando. But overall just some bent trees and clutter in the streets. No windows broken

Any chance this storm regains any strength? Or is it expected to just slowly weaken from here on out?

Drudge is making it sound like this storm isn't a big deal and the datA is being overblown. What's the deal?
Drudge doesn't own a home in the hurricane's path.

Unless the people reporting this "false" information are in a boat riding under the eyewall of this hurricane I think it's safe to say theyre wrong.

The whole I95 corridor north of Daytona is getting hammered right now.
