I'm not hurting, but not "privileged" either. And I disagree...when you earn it, it's not called "privilege", it's called the fruits of your labor.

Privileged because we have parents that give a shite whether we live or die, get an education and live a productive life? I have worked since I was 14 years old and kept my record clean. Does that make me privileged? I haven't been handed a damn thing, but now make good money and have a great family, all through my hard work and the MORALS my parents instilled in me. That's not privilege, it's the result from hard work.

I worked in the criminal justice system for 20 years, so let me break this down.
"Our justice system is crap..." We have the best thing going in the history of mankind. So there is that. People need to realize that, despite its many faults, we rock compared to countries where you basically go in front of a judge and are told you are guilty with no trial. Try out some Sharia Law if you want to see a crap system.

So even if you go with the ever popular "people of color", you are still wrong. But... POORS. We have a winner folks. Our system is absolutely biased to benefit people able to afford private representation, investigators, experts, private forensic testing, etc. 100% with you on this issue and truly wish there was a solution. But there isn't. No reasonable way to provide those resources to someone who can't afford them and no way we are going to restrict those rights from those who can afford them just for parity. That would be setting our system back 100's of years and putting us on par with the systems around the world that are beneath ours.
I would love to hear how you think we can fix the economic bias inherent in our system but don't try to bullshite me with "its crap and racist."

No, white oeople need to ask themselves why they must have these systems in place. Seriously. And if they want to make amends.
Reparations should never been off the table IMO. Should have been paid to the slaves 100s of years ago but some shitty Americans instead enacted Jim Crow laws and reconstruction policy's such as the prison industrial complex in order to suppress those newly freed men/women as much as possible.
Some of the most inhumane, deplorable and despicable Americans our country has ever even. Good riddance.

Yet, you could count up ALL of the church/school/etc shootings whitey has done in past 10 years, and Chicago and several other Cities have blown by those numbers in less than a year. 1 year of shootings for 1 city>>>>>>>10 years of shootings by whitey So???????
I mean they have excuses for excuses, NEVER, EVER taking responsibility for their actions and their communities.
