NYC would have the same map pretty much too.

NYC metro is bigger than probably 45 states. Maybe more.

I mean not if you have a good job here and family in the state. It's a great place to live with "funds" so you do need to earn 6 figures here for sure

Lived in Dallas for 8 years after graduating from LSU. Loved it for the first 5 years. Couldn’t wait to get the hell out of it the last few years there. Glad to be away from the rat race that is Dallas.

driving through DFW was absolute hell and it tested his resolve.

You have to take the tollway around downtown.

I had some friends who were going from Ruston to Midland every month and finally figured it out.

Something to remember next time someone starts bragging about their favorite color on a national election map.

Pretty much the same for Houston or San Antonio. Everything’s bigger in TX.

what is DFW's population?

There's 1,254,658 people in Collin County (which is a big part of DFW) as of the latest census, it's suppose to grow by another 500K in the next 10 years.

8.3 million for the entire DFW

Some of us work for companies based in DFW and have put down roots with family/kids etc .

If you live out in one of the suburbs it's not that bad, you never have to leave due to them having everything you need.

It will be sooner rather than later when the sprawl will have reached Tyler and that population will be added to the metro population numbers.
