What happened?
After police had cleared out the protest site, a silver Dodge Charger plowed into one of the groups streaming away from the rally.
How many were injured?
At least one person was killed and 19 more were injured, Angela Taylor, a public information officer at the University of Virginia Medical Center, told USA TODAY.
The conditions of the other 19 were not yet determined.
2 Dead In Helicopter Crash Near Charlottesville

A Virginia State Police helicopter crashed Saturday in Albermale County, Virginia, near the city of Charlottesville, where a violent white nationalist rally was taking place.
The Bell 407 helicopter crashed seven miles southwest of Charlottesville, the FAA confirmed to CBS News. There are two confirmed fatalities, the Virginia State Police posted on their Facebook page. Both the people killed were on board.
President Trump tweeted Saturday night his "deepest condolences" to the family and fellow police officers after the crash.

I'm not OK with this if they were just there to protest. Were they rioting or being violent? If not, that's a pretty huge violation of freedom of assembly. I wonder if eery BLM event is now declared unlawfully assembly.

I love how the right wing assembly is described in Nazi terms, while the Antifa thugs are glazed over as "peaceful counter protestors".

The unite the right protest was last night. The emergency was claimed today after violence broke out between neo-Nazis and white supremicists and counter protesters.
This wasn't an infringement on their right to assembly. It turned violent and police had to retreat.
