My grandparents bought a house 10 years ago. When they first moved in, my grandma would randomly see a teen-age guy at the end of the hall, then he would disappear. Come to find out, there was a younger guy who lived in the house before them that was killed in a motorcycle accident. It's been a couple years since I've heard her say anything about it.

I've never had a personal experience but some crazy shite happened to my uncle and his family years ago. My uncle was a writer and he got a job care taking a hotel during the winter when it was closed. He thought it would be a way to make some extra scratch and still work on his book full time. Lots of crazy shite started happening not long after they settled in. My little cousin was riding his big wheel through the halls and saw two creepy little twin girls, my aunt saw a guy in a bear suit going down on some guy in an empty room, etc. There was one room that was supposedly haunted and my uncle saw an old lady ghost in that room.

Anyway, some teen age hippies showed up in a green van and they set some traps and helped straighten everything out.

I've heard of a few instances where houses were haunted but this is my brothers story...

Him and a few roomates rented a house in Salt Lake City. It was an older, small house. They started hearing the usual little things like foot steps walking around the house, doors opening and closing. The had an attic also and heard things moving around but never went up to check it out. They were never really convinced it was a ghost until his roomates mom came to visit. The rest of their roomates and family were in downtown salt lake and his mom was sitting on the front porch reading a book. She heard footsteps walking around the house...but the only unlocked door was the one she was sitting by on the porch. She then heard someone banging on the front door and rattling it so she jumped off the porch and went to the street and called the family back. They searched the whole house and no one was there. They talked to the neighbors a little while later and found out the previous owner had a heart attack in the back yard and wasn't found for 2 days. I've had subtle experiences myself...so anyone who thinks they're mind tricks really just hasn't experienced it.

Not your pants, your crotch. Those are the ghosts of crabs past.

Interesting thread.

Two of my friends rented this trailer out in the middle of nowhere for really really cheap from a family who had just moved to Florida. When they moved in, they found out the family had left all their dishes, clothes, etc. at the house. They called the family and asked if they wanted them to pack their stuff up or what and the Dad just said, 'don't call us again, we don't want any of that stuff, we don't care!' and hung up the phone. They said fine and were kind of puzzled. One night they pulled up in the car and saw a guy sitting on the porch. He looked at them, stood up and walked inside. They searched the house but were never able to find anyone. Then a few weeks later they were on the porch and saw the same guy on the other side of a hill. They ran after him, but he disappeared. Said they saw him here or there a few more times. They stopped paying rent and the family never contacted them and they moved out a few months later.

Update******

So today, I'm chillin and playin the xbox, when i heard 3 distinct gunshots from a handgun, back to back like pow, pow, pow, sounding like they came from the living room. Of course I jump up to see what's happening. Noone else was in the apt so i went outside, where this chick was sitting on the steps of the stairs smoking a cig. I asked did she hear anything and she said no.
