I remember reading a theory that the reason testicular cancer responds so well to treatment is because the cancer cells develop in the scrotum which is kept 2 or 3 degrees cooler than the rest of the body (also why your nutsack droops and contracts based on certain conditions) and when these cancer cells spread into the warmer body they become weak and susceptible.
So make sure you stay really hot all the time. Also, maybe we should just treat all other cancers by inducing consistent fevers during chemo. Did I just cure cancer? Probably.

I had ball cancer as well but no chemo.Good luck and I hope all goes well for you.

Stay strong brother. Can I ask if it was just you finding a lump or was there other issues that led to finding it?

Best of luck with it. I hope you tolerate the treatments easily.

Go buy a bag of weed and smoke after every treatment.
shite, smoke BEFORE every treatment, too. Just tell the doc first to make sure it's not going to interact.
If I ever get cancer, frick a piss test. I'm getting toasty. Feeling good and hungry is not a negative when fighting cancer.

So I'm just wondering what side effects people have had here with the chemo.
My SIL went through some aggressive Chemo for breast cancer. She told me that the third one for her treatment was called the Red Devil and it was the worst for side effects. I believe this was because it was the strongest. I believe she told me they staged the treatments like that to knock the cancer down and then stomp it out. Her particular cancer was aggressive so hence some pretty strong and aggressive chemo. I do not know anyone who had Testicular cancer so not sure what that treatment entails.
Her treatment regimin is probably totally different from yours so just keep a strong faith in what you are doing and that you will get through it OK. Keep family or any loved ones close to you for support if it gets tough.

My brother, you’ve got this shite. Ain’t nothing but a thing.
I’m in month four of a six month chemo regimen for butt cancer. Doing a six week radiation party in a month or so.
I’ve got the port too (which is awesome for blood work and chemo infusions). I’m on a 2 week on/1 week off. Infusion plus pills.
The side effects that are the most annoying is the fatigue. The neuropathy is manageable—you’ll learn that quick. Just have to know what things to avoid.
As someone mentioned, the nausea is easily treatable with meds. And they will prescribe them along with damn near anything else you may need.
Hit me up at pannycricketstd at gmail if you have any questions or just wanna BS.
Again, you got this shite.

Good luck. I went through this over 18 years ago. First few treatments weren’t bad, but the nausea got worse at the end. Also, due to loss of eyebrows and ear hair, had sensitivity to light and noise at the end. Nausea medicine helped. Be more than happy to help in anyway if you want. Post an email if you want to and I’ll be more than happy to talk directly with you about my experience. You’ll get through it for sure.

I’ve had two close friends go through this and both came out healthy on the other side. One even had another kid after it. Keep a positive attitude and just fight like hell. We’ll all be pulling for you!

My prayers and very best wishes are headed your way. May God bless you and care for you!

My cousin had testicular cancer at 16. Lost ole lefty, so we call him the uniballer now. Anyway, he went through all of his chemo, was really sick, lots of barfing more than anything. And fatigue. BUT, he beat it and has been cancer free for 8 years now
ETA: you got this, kick its arse

My cousin had his testicle removed due to ball cancer. He never had to do chemo or any other treatment. He injured his ball playing sports and it never got better and that led to a ball cancer. Getting hit in the balls is a risk for ball cancer.
He was in his early 20s. How old are you? Ball cancer typically hits guys in the 20s.
