3rd flight of Saturn put men in space. The 5th one put men orbiting the moon. 6th one put men on the moon, just a year and half after the first test flight. Absolutely wild even by 2023 standards.

I mean, if you believe any of that.

boost back and may or may not have had anything to do with hot staging

At one point of stream before launch, they discussed the fact that they heavily suspected Booster would sustain damage from the hot staging since it wasnt originally designed to hot stage. They had additional sensors collecting data to improve the Boosters survivability with the hot staging moving forward.

They’ll figure it out and iterate a fix pretty quick. The iteration process in of itself is one of my favorite things about watching starship development.

It's actually a concept called continuous improvement. It can be used in nearly any realm of operation or life. It's very effective when used properly - as evidenced by the rapid rise of SpaceX.

In a few years they went from boosters blowing up on the landing pad, to landing two boosters simultaneously without a single issue. Now it's an every day thing.

Agreed that the iteration is so fun to watch. With just a few minutes of reading you can remain pretty well caught up with each new step. SpaceX does a great job breaking it down for casual fans like myself.

this is what the goobers don’t realize. They perfected something people didn’t even think was possible. Starship has always been the ultimate goal, Falcon 9 was just the cash cow

There is a YouTube channel called "Great SpaceX." They post very informative videos daily primarily focused on Space X, but with info on Blue Origin, ULA, and NASA also. Each video is about 10 minutes.

Scott Manley's analysis of the launch is interesting

Scott Manley YouTube

He basically argues both booster & Starship were destroyed by catastrophic failure... not FTS activation

Also... Starship was basically near Puerto Rico when it failed... which is a heck of a flight
