Fa sho.

I am clearly in the minority as Starbucks has done quite well in business

I'm a local coffee shop guy. I like the neighborhood stoners to serve me some weird house blend they know far too much about, and since I'm one of 2 people in the store, they have time to small talk.

Coffee preference is what makes America great? I disagree.

Clearly you've never been to Syria. They have very limited coffee options.

Their coffee is abysmal.

Folks in the coffee business call it Charbucks.

They over roast most of their coffees which gives it that distinct taste. I can't stand it. I don't like charcoal coffee.

I'll stick to paying $1.59 for a LARGE (frick a grande) coffee at the gas station.

it's about $0.30 more for a large coffee at a starbucks. you can debate whether starbucks coffee is actually good, but it is unarguably better than gas station fare

It was a reversal from a previous stance they took. Scruffy is pretty sure they caught backlash for claiming they would hire only immigrants or something.

They never said they would ONLY hire immigrants. They said they had a goal to hire 10000 refugees in 5 years. Back in 2013 they pledged to hire 10000 veterans in five years and did it in four, but no one batted an eye at that.

This is them just doubling down on there orginal plan 5 years ago. Hey we hired 10000 veterans already we are going to try and hire 15000 more. Along with 10000 refuges. It's a big company they never pledged to hire one or the other. That's why I don't get what everyone is pissed about.

OMG a company said something I don't like so lets do as little research as possible about it and boycott them for no reason.

Unless of course you really don't like their coffee then more power to you.

I remember correctly, the right boycotted Target over bathroom bull shite. We should really have a scorecard on this kinda nonsense.

Left might have done it over union busting. Target makes Walmart look like the Bailey Building and Loan.

The bathroom virtue signalling could have been partially intended to get progtards to forget their business practices and go out of their way to shop there.

This is going to be an unpopular opinion but whatever: the military preference is getting to be ridiculous. They should have to compete for jobs just like the rest of us.

You think we don't?

I personally don't mind Starbucks coffee, but I'm not opposed to the idea that there are better alternatives. I use local roasters and coffee houses when possible.

That said, often the better alternative proposed is gas station coffee or Dunkin, which is 95% of the time total and absolute dogshit

8 months old preground folgers that sits on a hotplate for 3 hours is not what I'd call a better alternative to Starbucks

If you pay more than $1(pre tax) on gas station coffee you are getting ripped off. They could give me a gallon, I don't care. $1 is the limit for coffee made by some clerk who probably doesn't wash their hands
