Starbucks allowing non-customers to sit inside and use bathroom

Starbucks informed employees of the official policy in a letter sent to them on Saturday, spelling out that “any person who enters our spaces, including patios, cafes and restrooms, regardless of whether they make a purchase, is considered a customer.”
Homeless people rejoice!
This is going to work out great for Starbucks. One little incident in Philly leads to all their chains becoming homeless shelters

This is great news for Starbucks competitors.

I don’t drink coffee, but I look forward to hearing about the liberal elites getting their morning coffee at Starbucks and going to the bathroom to find a homeless guy whacking it into the sink.

I can finally get back to my dream of jerking it in every Starbucks in the state. I got halfway through the Baton Rouge locations before I realized I would go broke in my pursuit.

Was there not broke college students camping there for power and wifi already?

When you lack any semblance of a spine, this is how you run your business.

This coupled with the new "head tax" at their HQ in Seattle won't make their shareholders feel warm and fuzzy.

At least everybody on Canal Street during Mardi Gras will have a nice clean bathroom to use.

thank god for CCs. they dont put up with this liberal homeless-lovin' BS.
ETA: seriously, the last city I lived in built a beautiful modern library right downtown with a Caribou Coffee franchise in the lobby...my office was a few blocks away and I enjoyed going there to check out books on CD (pre-Audible days), get coffee, lunch on the roof decks... Until the homeless took it over and wouldnt leave. The bathrooms stunk like shite and BO, people washing their drawers in the sinks. 15 million dollar homeless shelter, designed by Robert A.M. Stern.
