So you’re having a multiple page argument with TT03 and Spleen but have not once stated an opinion on the subject?
Half of his posts are just quoting things out of context and pretending they mean something completely different.

Then wtf are you arguing if you don’t think she was persecuted but you also don’t think she was good enough to make the team based on her own abilities?

I simply pointed out the contradiction to saying she was a detriment to team chemistry while also saying she wasn't discriminated against.

Oh my. The irony.

But I'm sure you'll keep telling us how much you're winning in this thread.
There's no "winning" a thread. I am, however, putting an intellectual beating on you. Look on the bright side, you should finally understand that persecution comes in more forms than physical violence.

Serious question: Was the coach supposed to come out and say she could be included because she was a detriment to team chemistry because of her religious beliefs?
Maybe, maybe not. Maybe not the coach but some of the outspoken players like Rapinoe ? Who knows. Either way, her 8 international caps lend more credibility to the coaches explanation than just assuming it was all because of religion.

So the woman screaming about inclusion should come out and say she didn't want a woman on her team because of her beliefs?

Sure it does. Just like Kaepernick's poor play gives more than enough credence to him not being in the NFL.
At the end of the day, we all know why Kaep isn't on any rosters though. It's not because of a lack of talent.

That's not what irony means. Thanks for proving my point.

I never said she wasn't discriminated against because of her religious views like you've claimed. That's your opinion based on what I've stated.

TH03: Posts like he's the smartest person in every single thread.
TH03: Calls someone else out for doing the same thing.
TH03: Gets called ironic.
TH03: Says it's not irony.
TH03: Not as smart or as good as he thinks he is.

Also this:
Why Boo her?

In May 2018, shortly after she revealed her decision to not wear the U.S. team jersey honoring the LGBT Pride Month, Hinkle was booed several times by some Portland Thorns supporters during an NWSL match with the Courage

TT03 has. Which is the point.

Well, is there another reason other than her religious belief that makes you think she was a detriment to team chemistry?
If not, it sounds like my opinion based on what you've stated is accurate.

I understand what you were trying to say.
That's not what irony means though. It's a common misusage of the word.

Because she wasn't good enough?

Rapinoe doesn’t pick the team. She also was not “supposed” to be screaming about inclusion. That was what I was getting at. You said the coach would never admit religion had anything to do with it, I agree but would not have been surprised if an outspoken player like Rapinoe mentioned it off the cuff or off the record. All speculation so none of it matters anyway.

Those sentences contradict each other. In the first his poor play keeps him out of the nfl, in the second he’s out of the nfl but not because of a lack of talent?

No. But I also don't think that was sole determinant on her not making the team. My opinion is she is likely a good enough player to make the team. The head coach stated her decision to cut her was strictly a soccer decision. Ultimately, my opinion doesn't mean squat.
Other posters have pointed the disparity in experience between her and the starting LB, and the backup LB. So I lean towards the head coach being honest.

No, they don't. His poor play is used as an excuse fo GMs to avoid the headache. There isn't a football fan on this planet who doesn't think Kaep is more talented than just about every backup in the NFL.
Just like only having 8 caps is an excuse to avoid the headache with this chick.

One of the best LBs in the NWSL
But they hate her because her Christian values doesn’t support homosexuality?

Rapinoe doesn’t get booed by opposing fans in The NWSL for Kneeling did she?
