IMO there is no king cake worth waiting in line for.

Did you order before you went? I did last year and I was in and out. No line.

King Cakes are disgusting. They’re just stale cinnamon roles with colorful icing

Stop buying King Cakes from WalMart.

I work 5 minutes away from Dong Phuong and remember when it was still cool to walk in and out with a king cake in just a couple of minutes. Never a line. I haven't been back in a few years, even though they are my favorite. It's just not worth it to me.

Depends on how early/late it was in the season. They eventually stop taking orders. I used to do this all the time on the way home from work.

There is a line from the back warehouse behind the restaurant to the road a 8am and they sell out in two hours.

They have cut off online order for this year. Not taking any new orders.

I went because the wife wanted the almond one and most of the resellers don't get many.

Did you drive a 1/2 mile further to Pho Bang and eat the real goodness?

I’ve gone on 3 separate Fridays at 10am and walked right up with no preorder and had my choice of flavors with no line.

King cake ain't anything special. I eat about a slice or 2 per year and I'm good.

Some fatasses in my office shove a slice or two down their gullet every other day.
