Fleeing the scene of an accident > DUI i'd assume
Baton Rouge's own Judge Don Johnson did it very well.
From The Advocate's Our Views May 2003.

quote:
Perhaps state District Judge Don Johnson should consider employing a chauffeur - at his own expense, of course.
It might be safer for the judge and save wear and tear on his vehicle, not to mention poles that find themselves in his path.
For the second time in slightly more than two years, the judge has an embarrassing date in court as a result of a traffic accident.
This time he's been cited for hit-and-run, failing to maintain control of a vehicle and driving without proof of insurance.
Traveling south on Foster Drive, Johnson lost control of an SUV, crossed two lanes of College Drive, slammed into a utility pole and then left the scene of the accident, police said.
The accident occurred about 11 p.m. April 30, but police didn't see Johnson until about 3 p.m. May 1. By then, it was was much too late for a blood-alcohol breath test. A lawyer who represented Johnson two years ago said the judge lost control of his vehicle last week while avoiding a dog in the road.
Johnson's latest court appearance as a defendant is scheduled July 1. Stay tuned.
The district judge's driving has taken him to the other side of a courtroom bench before.
In March 2001, City Court Judge Trudy White acquitted Johnson of first-offense DWI and reckless driving. He was fined $115 after being convicted of failure to maintain control of a vehicle and driving without carrying a license.
In that incident, police said Johnson was in lanes leading to I-12, near the I-10/I-12 split when he cut across the median to get to I-10, hit a sign pole and ran off the interstate after losing control of a pickup truck.
After testimony by a consultant that a breath test was flawed, White threw out results that showed Johnson's blood-alcohol level was 0.107. A person who tests at 0.10 is considered too drunk to drive in Louisiana.
As embarrassing as these unfortunate incidents are for an elected judge, Johnson actually has been fortunate, having avoided any serious harm to himself or anyone else.
The judge should take under advisement the possibility of leaving the driving to someone else.

Chiasson was a passenger on a boat operated by Bryan Nolan in July. Nolan was later arrested after he hit a boat, carrying several passengers, including Sheets. A passenger on Sheets' boat received a concussion. Following the crash, Nolan took off. Chiasson, the state trooper on his boat, never called for help.

That's why I'm asking about his pension. I'm a fan of his and if that yappity bitch had never started her "are yall drunk?" shite, everything would have been fine. She's the epitome of the Karen stereotype.
They totaled her boat and then left. What was she supposed to do?

Sounds like he was drunk at the scene of the accident and didn’t want to get caught

Close friend of mine. Shame what happened. He does feel bad and is sorry. With that being said. He is way better off financially committing his time to his other career. Having him up at our restaurant for our annual gator festival in September.

Why doesn't he use his new platform to admit his wrong doing?
Because he really doesn't care. He is hoping it doesn't catch up to him
