Louisiana Law prohibits the filing of false public records and despite an internal affairs report written by STPSO investigators that reads, “Steinert admitted he had fabricated his arrest report by coping [sic] and pasting the probable cause from a previous DUI arrest,” Smith said he found no evidence of a crime.
“If a police officer is knowingly and purposefully filing false police reports, that certainly is a crime under Louisiana law. And that is police misconduct of the highest order,” said Loyola Law Professor Dane Ciolino.

They make up so much crap on police reports, it's like creative writing for morons. I read the police report when I got pulled over and it literally did not make sense. They made up so much stuff it was physically impossible to have taken place. My lawyer said there was no way we could bring that up in this small town...and that type of report is par for the course. I just did what I had to get it non-edjudicated.

That last guy he set up(and there were many before) would've lost his clearance and been separated, all because that deputy likes the attention he was getting and STP liked the $$$$.
I hate drunk drivers with a passion and it is far from "victimless crime", but DUI enforcement is mostly about collecting money now.

If Nak or some other investigative reporter wanted to look at BRPD DWI arrest reports they would find a lot of the same things.

They almost always write that the suspect had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and about his person, had glassy and bloodshot eyes, and performed poorly on the filed sobriety test.
The "glassy and bloodshot eyes" is the main one that gets me. They always put it in, but does anyone outside a drunk character in a 1940s movie actually look like that?
Take a look at all the drunks you see in the next bar, tailgate, or mirror. Do any have glassy and bloodshot eyes?
