This does not constitute "driving without insurance." If her coverage is good enough to satisfy a traffic cop, she can and should tell the Raging Pussy Property & Casualty Co. to pound sand.
She is using her City Vehicle Allowance to pay for a personal vehicle. A stipulation of her accepting the allowance is that she must maintain a certain threshold of Insurance Coverage as the City has exposure through her using the vehicle while on City business.
This coverage is obviously higher than the minimum statutory auto level required by Louisiana for ordinary citizens.
tl/dr: She has to have more insurance coverage than she has.

Yeah, kinda funny many with rightly criticize this mayor's blatant corruption, but defend a certain someone else's.

I know the mayor of a small town in SWLA. When he took over the town was majorly in the red. He refused a vehicle allowance because he considered it unnecessary since he had a vehicle already and knew the city couldn't afford it.
IMO it's not about corruption but more about the attitude that they are owed something.

Yes most of these assholes never intend to serve the public. It’s all about what they can get out of it. When i was among those ranks it was disgusting. In the end the public doesnt care and wants their “buddy”. In office even if that person is stealing from them. In their minds i guess they think they will share what they steal with them. Such as pick them up in that car and get a primo spot with the bogus tag.
