Who is the President?
How are succesfull blacks viewed in the black community? Seems like their own community will give them a hard time or call them sellouts for "conforming" to the white man. Tell me this doesn't have any truth.

One would like to think that that is the way it is, but here I am, a white professional in his mid-40's. I won't hesitate to shake a strangers hand and say hi and not think twice about it. I approach a police officer to say hi or whatever and I find myself making sure that my hands are in plain view for fear that he might mistake the reason for my approach.

Why does it seem like our feelings and sentiments can never be legitimate? For what reason?
It's not like it's a silent minority of blacks that feel this way. You have many that have busted their asses, worked hard, and have done everything the "American" way yet still feel as if they aren't seen as equals, or feel as if they have to prove themselves extra even through they are qualified?

I don't think I've ever shaken a police officers hand...well maybe the one that gave me a seatbelt ticket and had a 2003 BCSNCG ring on

Its much more entertaining. I have had no problems with you but 808 has irked me a few times but i still think he is a good guy...just likes to argue like i do

Where I work, County cops must like to finish they're shifts in it. They always park in it back in a corner. Nothing going on there. No traffic. No businesses. They're just doing what I'm doing right now. Wasting a bit of time before heading home. But I'll occasionally go over and talk to them in their car, but like I said, in the most non-threatening way possible for fear of who knows what.

Who can't get a law passed by congress which happens to be majority white? The president.
From my experience, it doesn't have much truth at all really. Not at least today. Everyone wants to do well and the age of monolithic blacks is quickly deteriorating but we should all have a vested interest in civil rights. As any American should.
All I'm saying is that is is an American problem and there isn't a race that is absolved from trying to rectify this. If we are going to live togethe we need to learn to live together and support each other.
America will be a tough place to live in if we can't
