I don't care for the guy personally, but if he represents the Brown family, I'd say that if he said the police version were fact and dismissed the witness statements, that would actually make him a shitty lawyer. Can agree with him or disagree with him. Like him or hate him. But coming from the perspective of representing a family, I wouldn't have expected him to say anything differently.
I am sure behind closed doors (meaning even away from the family) he is closely considering all of the witness' statements along with the police statements. Now if he's not doing that, I would agree...shitty lawyer.

As an attorney, and advocate of the law, he should neither dismiss nor affirm either version of the story until facts come to light.
