So if you kill some innocent people it's ok as long as we maintain the "fabric of society." And there's no way that the idea of the "fabric of society" notion could become warped so as to justify unjustifiable violence. Right?
Whatever it takes to keep the peace ... In war it is called collateral damage.

It's not Ferguson, St.Louis County and their Chief is in charge tonight.

Over 5000 civilians have been killed by police.(equivalent to the amount of soldiers killed in Iraq)
Most would agree that even one case of police brutality is too many. Unfortunately, that is a distant utopia.
It is incredibly naive to believe that police across the US won't cross the line time to time. I'm not sure what is a "reasonable" amount of collateral damage.

Me and 808 going tomorrow night. Meet ya at the McD's at sundown right? If I'm a little late I'll just meet you at West Florissant and Canfield.

Awesome. When do we pass the hat to pay out the damages from lawsuits?

You are right. I doubt you will either. They sell tickets to Somalia every day. Feel free ...
Its probably a little tougher than Somalia, but I'm sure we could find a way to get you into North Korea or Cuba. Clearly you would absolutely love the "safety" that comes with living in either of those places

I'm not naive enough to think that it won't happen. I'm idealistic enough to believe there should be consequences when it does.
