He was probably part of the resistance to fool the supporters. I’m sure there were lots of groups trying to dupe the movement.

I cannot wait till this stuff gets certified.

Why wouldn’t the people of st George just file a new annex for the same piece of land. Then once alll the signatures are verified dissolve the new movement.

Murrell said the parish’s poor school system, and the organizers' hope of creating an better one as other successful incorporation efforts did in Central and Zachary, is still the driving force behind the St. George movement.

There was a triple verification process done before the petitions were turned in. Trust me when I say your name never made it to the Registrar of Voters. What did you hope to accomplish from doing this?

I was asked to sign a petition for better schools. I am for better schools. St. George was never mentioned during the entire process.

And St. George wasn't on the petition?

Come on man. You knew what was going on.

You've been opposed to SG from day one. You live in BR. You have an opinion, but no real say so; yet you were active in trying to gum things up.

Why?

People used to love freedom and strove to win debates on merit.
Sad times.

Think about what we are really seeing here. Folks who live in a city are trying to stop other folks who want what they have, their own city and the benefits there in; yet they have never tried to encourage those folks outside their city to join their city.

Instead they try and pool their resources with the unincorporated resources to further their agenda.

Central schools are much better after the split from EBR. I'm a CHS alum from prior to the split. In my opinion we should let the people vote on it and accept the results, good or bad.
