Im guessing you know the girl who is involved?

Not trying to demoralize her but I think in general not just in this case that a women can recount her thoughts from 14+yrs and then have someone arrested on that basis. If he did do this to her I hope he rots in jail. Just a lot of misinformation going on these days.

That is a weird case. I am certainly sympathetic to victims of sexual abuse, and I have little doubt that there are many very real cases. I do, however, believe there are plenty of women that wake up the next morning ashamed of their actions and allege it was no consensual. Not saying that happened here, but men are wrongly accused. Look at the Duke Lacrosse team as the perfect example.

For child rape, there is no expiration

I can say for fact that probably half of the rape cases I've been involved in were not true. Double edged sword. Police have to pry hard as hell to not only try to prove the case but equally as hard to make sure accusations are true.

But by God you better never doubt a victin publicly. I recall one case where an old drunk lady cried rape. Evidence (rape kit) was obtained and submitted to the crime lab. A day later, crime lab calls and informs us they had two pending rape kids on same victim from two other jurisdictions.

Come to find out, drunk lady would get sauced, no one would screw her as she was a skank, and they'd run her off or throw her out on the side of the road. Best way for her to get shelter and a ride by the cops would be to cry rape.

What's bad is real, true victims think cops are treating them bad by cross examining them during the investigation in order to make sure the case is real and will fly past a grand jury or trial jury. Victims get their feelings hurt and feel badly and as though the cops don't believe them.

Also bad is that all it takes is an accusation for the wheels of guilty before trial kicks in.

Refer back to the Duke lacrosse team rape case............

No idea if there is merit to the case. I do know that the campaigning between those two a couple of years ago was some of the nastiest stuff I’ve seen in local politics. The DA is also a terrible lawyer imo. That’s a professional opinion. Don’t know David opperman.

Didn’t say anything about convictions. I’m talking about how the victim feels after the entire process is over.
