Texas is successful in education, extremely powerful economy, incentives business, fully utilizes its ports and we work the shite out of a lot of our prisoners, we don't spend 8 years doing environmental studies before building a god damn road right next to another and we have a surplus of cash

We double down on dumb. We give more exemptions for property tax, we dedicate more funds to certain areas of spending, we reject the idea of separating University tuition from TOPS by ensuring both are tied to the legislature, and I could go on and on. Every single thing that needs reform we double down on the problem, and I'm not talking about our legislature, I'm talking about direct votes by the people here.
This state will never be fixed...comeback in a decade or a score and I guarantee you we will be worse off as a state then we are right now. It's sad because this has always been and will likely always be my home.
