Humans are at the top, but take away our tools and our dogs we are way down the list.

The fact that the only argument that can be brought up is putting us in their environment (jungles, ocean, etc.) with no weapons or anything, as if we're literally in a worst case scenario, should be enough to settle it.

Fine, put a grizzly in your living room

You can't just take away our tools and weapons. Our mind (which these tools and weapons are a product of) is what makes us by far the most dominant and dangerous animal on the planet.

A hippo

not a predator.

But a hippo is the only animal that will end a crocodiles life IN WATER. So at the very least it suggest a redefiniton of what is meant by apex predator.

Humans have existed for a very long time. We successfully hunt every animal on this earth. We can live in any environment. We have killed all of these apex predators without guns for thousands of years.

And dolphins are missing from the list. An adult dolphin has no real threat. Orcas and great whites aren't agile enough to kill them and they are extremely successful hunters. They also are hunted by idiot Asians with sticks and successfully killed all the time.

Humans do not fit the definition of an apex predator. An apex predator is one that has no natural predator of its own. Multiple species (including polar bears, large sharks, lions, tigers and probably others) are known and documented to hunt, kill and eat humans. Of course, if you include humans in the category of "natural" predators, then there are no apex predators, as we are not apex predators ourselves, but we do hunt and kill every species.
