i do feel bad for women, b/c they get an absolutely raw deal, biologically. as one poster on here taught me years ago, there is no worse depreciating asset than a woman's beauty. they lose their looks. they lose their natural femininity. they lose their fertility (Which is important in a sexually-reproducing species). just sucks all around for them

yes, but the tradeoff is pretty much being able to get sex whenever wherever no matter how ugly you are.

Many women in their 40's have this 'awakening' when they realize (or believe) that their life is halfway over and theyre not happy with their spouse and where they are in their life and think it's their last best chance to start over. Usually happens around menopause or when the last kid is grown (teens).

Almost always leads to divorce, and in a lot of situations, it betters their life and happiness.

There is nothing worse than being in a shitty unfulfilling marriage.

I blame the LifeTime Network. Watch any of those movies, written by women for women, and you quickly realize what women are thinking or wishing is possible. They compare their lives to those fairy tales and get disenchanted.

bingo!
There is a spectrum of unrealistic ideals that Hollywood/MSM gives women
It starts with Disney as a girl (everyone is a princess), then unrealistic Hollywood rom-coms in their 20's along with the Kardashian famous for nothing/spend all day on nails and hair etc., and then moves to LMN for those over 30.
When expectations >>>>>>> reality and you can't deal with it - bad shite happens

Welcome to what happened to my marriage of almost 25 years.

Literally the words that came out of her mouth. I mean word for freaking word.

Okay here's the deal - if the woman's temperament and disposition has truly changed, (could be she was always crazy and hid it better) it's hormonal. Tell her to get to the GYN and get hormone pellets. Trust me, they work - makes weight loss easier, stable moods, increased sex drive. They are miraculous.

Yea women usually respond well to being told that they're hormonal and need to be put on meds.

Agreed. I don't see any reason to run them down. It seems outwardly like they get whatever they want (and I do think American marriage let's women off the hook on some things to an absurd degree), but it is definitely a longer and harder road. Not to mention always being aware that 50% of the population could violently dominate them at any time. Just curious - who was the poster who taught you this?

It's not that hard - just say hey this stuff here will help you loose weight - some women might scream and throw some things around for a day or two after hearing that from their husbands; but after exhaustive googling and countless conversations with girlfriends, they will get the pellets.

I think Facebook is particularly corrosive. They get in an argument or something at home and are all pissed off, and then scroll through their Facebook and see nothing but happy fairy tale lives and trips to Hawaii. Funny thing how the gal on her dream trip to Hawaii never seems to post about how the hubby drinks a bit too much and roughs her up several times per year.
