Spinoff: how can a woman ever respect a man that bails on his kid?

Of course I will hear some crazy exceptions to the rule, but I just can't see how a woman could overlook such a thing.
Maybe it would be a possessive type that wants to act like her man's past never happened.
divorce is not bailing on a kid. bailing is not being a part of the life of the kid

what's considered bailing? Divorce isn't bailing. If you have a kid outside of marriage and dont FORCE a relationship with the mother, that's not bailing(obv assuming the dad wants to be around as much as he legally can/ 50/50)

I don't believe the OP is saying a divorce is bailing on a kid. In the thread he spun this off of there was a side conversation that started up about a father who agreed to give up his rights and allow the mother to change the child's last name to the new husband's name, and THAT is bailing on a child.

I really blame these men for basically every major problem in society. How many criminals have a stable relationship with their father? I'm willing to bet less than 5%. I could never be friends with a deadbeat dad. They just ruin a child.
