Communism = North Korea, where they've brainwashed to think a fat boy with a bad haircut is their Jesus.
Socialism = Venezuela, where it's taken less than one generation for their economy to tank out and now government is having to raid the private businesses for assets, or just completely shut the businesses down and take over because there is no motivation for the business to produce more than the minimum because of the insane taxes.

Communism & Socialism rely primarily on people's desire to take care of others in order to function.
Capitalism relies primarily on people's desire to take care of themselves in order to function.

Because it has never worked and will never work due to the fact that at it's most basic level it is designed to fail. People care for themselves more than they care for strangers, and that cannot be socially engineered away.
