Overrated—hanging out on Lee Circle without a pot to piss in
Underrated—having a friend with a “homebase” on St. Charles—basically tailgating with an ice chest full of beer on prime real estate, with a bathroom easily accessible.

I love Mardi Gras. I’d really like to experience the rural version.
I’m giving it up this year to be with my mom who has cancer... and no marching bands, Chinese beads, or dancing can equal that.
I hope every one has fun and is safe. I’ll be by a lake at the foothills by the mountains. With the people I love, and in the place that I love.

Day drink with friends and family
BBQ pit + Smoker rolling all day
High School Marching Bands playing music and breaking it down
blare your own music if you want and face no noise complaints
festive floats, marchers, and costumes
then Mardi Gras balls afterwards or on different days altogether
