I'm kinda bored with the show, but if someone put it on I'd probably watch some of it. They're just likable people doing stuff that's at least marginally interesting.
I've read things indicating they're not as overly great as they seem to be, but almost all those accounts also point out that they're not rude/ unpleasant. I imagine they're just stretched thin and can't really act "perfect" 100% of the time.

I like Jojo. Chip annoys the shite out of me with his goofiness.
But the show is worn out. She's a talented designer but all of her stuff is the same- farm table, farm sink, barn doors on the closet, French doors somewhere in the home and a big kitchen island. Wash, rinse, repeat. Not saying anything is wrong with it, but after a season or so, it's time for something new.

I agree.
I just started watching it when the Missus would turn it on recently as we are remodelling. it's an enjoyable show, but you pretty much nailed it.
If you take a drink every time you hear shiplap during the Fixer Upper marathons on Sunday you would be shite faced by the end of the afternoon.

We don't even have cable and my wife is obsessed with shiplap. We're putting in some faux shiplap in our laundry room this weekend because of it. But I have to admit it will dress it up some so it isn't just painted drywall.
