Never been before.

What are some 'must do' things or restaurants? I'll be there from a Friday evening through Monday morning.

Just me and the Mrs.

Any hotel recommendations?

I'm up for anything.

ETA: Crap. Just remembered there's a Travel Board.

Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the LA Riots while watching on TV the BR riots get underway.

I'm at a surprising loss for smartass suggestions (the best I came up with was "Scout places for OJ's "Welcome Home" party) so I'm forced to give a serious one.

Go see a Dodgers game, if they are in town. The science museum with Endeavour is pretty cool, too.

Go to The Getty Museum. It is pretty awesome.

Just make sure no one is ever behind you, always sit in the corner.

You'd probably enjoy San Diego more unless you are tied to L.A.

I use to enjoy Carlsbad

What's the drive from L.A. to SD 1.5 hours?

First order of business is to head to Venice and/or Santa Monica to see the LA beach scene.

Hollywood isn't very great but you may want to see it for your own curiosity.

I'm a big fan of Korea town. If you like Asian stuff that's a great neighborhood to eat and explore. The wi spa is incredible.

It varies. 1.5 to 3 depending on traffic.

If you head to SD, definitely hit up Dana Point and La Jolla

There used to be a mall at the corner of MLK and Crenshaw. I don't know if it's any good.
