I know a lot of people here cannot stand "little yappie" dogs, but I got a rare one.

She is full grown and weighs 3.5 lbs. She does not bark or make very little noise. We actually thought she was deaf when we first got her. She only barks and growls when I play rough with her.

She's not scared of anything and thinks any dog or stranger are there to play with her.

She is the easiest dog I've ever had to house train. She was pad trained in less than a week, and house trained basically the day we moved her pad outside.

For those here that say these little irritating, yapping dogs, that scare easy and piss themselves, are wrong.

All this dog does is play or want to nap next to you.

K

Meanwhile, my cur kills snakes and protects the house, making me aware of anything that is out of order.

Before I got my Pomeranian I thought little dogs were terrible. But my little man doesn't bark, yelp, or do much of anything other than sit on my lap. When we go on walks he insists on smelling ever flower and bush, but he doesn't growl and is basically uninterested in everyone but me.

Since Yorkies are terriers, (and she is mostly Yorkie in looks and behavior) she is not afraid of snakes. I threw a stuffed animal snake at her once, she didn't flinch, and just jumped on it, shook it like crazy. So I took a more realistic rubber snake, same thing.

Rocky Baw not Ricky - His dad was 1/2 Jack Russell and 1/2 Chiwawa, the mom was a Weiner.

which makes him a Shiteater

Pops got ran over before Rocky could meet him so he has a grudge against all other dogs who grew up with fathers.

I have a Yorkie (11 lbs) that is as smart and intuitive as it gets. She is almost four and she’s never been “ yappy “ . Imho, Dogs are a tremendous gift to humanity, I wish more people would slow down and observe how amazing they are. They teach kids affection , responsibility and empathy. They protect us, they alertbis to danger, they lick our faces and make us laugh. They are great companions for the lonely and those in grief or struggling with life and I’m convinced a good dog is the best stress reducer and loyal friend on the planet. I can’t imagine not always having a family dog

The PC term is a "Designer Breed".

She was $800. I thought my wife was crazy for wanting a $800 dog. Now, if I knew then what I know now about her, I would have paid $5000 for her. She is a great dog and family member

Oh my gosh he is adorable!

I don't care what anyone says, small dogs > large dogs.

My chihuahua is awesome. He really only barks when someone knocks on the door. He's super friendly and loves everyone (except his new baby brother, who he is still a little jealous of).

$800 for a dog that can't even retrieve ducks... Holy shite.

That's even funnier...

My grandfather was a vet, he called them mutts...
