That's an impressive picture. Wish they could have landed the center core for a flawless mission, but today was a big win for SpaceX regardless.

I think they use sound sensors to take these closeup pics. It takes the picture whenever it picks up a certain dB or something along those lines.

I wonder why that's necessary. The rocket isn't exactly fast at that point. Seems like you could take the pictures remotely and be fine without the extra sensor or whatever.

Because the photographer can’t be that close to the launchpad (even w optics).
Nm saw you said remotely. I dunno, that seems possible to. Has to be a reason because these guys that photograph rockets all use them.

So, has Starman had its final boost, or is it still in Earth orbit?
Burn will happen after 5 hours in the Van Allen belt.

They missed an opportunity if they didn’t include one on there.

I wonder how many people picked up on the Don't Panic message?

Landing looked fake as frick. They were showing them in parallel flight, then all of the sudden they’re straight up and down

Well.... A buddy if mine sent me a video he took of them landing.... So is his video fake as frick as well?

Maybe he stopped for a charge.

No. The zeds came up and tractor beamed him into their ship.
Oh the disappointment the little green men must feel when they realize they can't anal probe Starman

Third burn successful. Exceeded Mars orbit and kept going to the Asteroid Belt.

Damn you
ETA: are they just having fun and burning up all the fuel? I thought they were shooting for a specific orbit.
