Thanks for the heads up.

I'll be sure to have my doom laser set up and ready to fire.

thank you for the tip!! Always a cool sight!

The NASA website that predicts (100% perfectly) the worldwide viewing opportunities of the ISS is absolute proof of a globe Earth. The Flat Earthers, who think the space program is a hoax, need not look beyond this to be shown they are wrong.

The only way to accomplish what NASA does with this, without an ISS in orbit, would be to:
- have an aircraft exactly matching the speed and shape (silhouette) of the ISS, but much lower altitude
- flying 24/7/365
- have a fleet of these (or refuel in some clandestine Pacific location, constantly)

No other phenomenon would work, to reproduce what the flyover website predicts, and gets right 100% of the time!

You could have seen it around the same time a few nights ago, yeah. But it would have been in sky for a long time.

I saw a big arse shooting start that bursted like a firework at about 6:15 this AM looking S SW maybe low on the horizon. Seemed like I saw it for a solid 3 seconds.

You'll be surprised at what you can see right at and just after twilight. The sun's angle reflects off satellites pretty good. They look like stars moving very fast across the sky. People should look up more

I wanted to bump this to Page One, since we are two hours out.

If you've never seen it before, folks, go check out the ISS. It is the brightest object in the sky, behind the Sun and Moon.

So if I'm 100 miles south of Galliano La in the GoM. Where do I need to look?

this information for Houma is 'close enough' for you. Your exacts will be a bit different, but it is so bright, you'll easily spot it.

While the space station gets along at a good clip, a shooting star is much much faster.
