Never heard of it until now. If it's so good and popular, why don't they open locations in any cities along I-10 where they could get a lot more business?

It started in Homer, LA. It's been expanding in North LA and now CENLA. They are trying to sell franchises. I think I read you put up 40K, the land, building, and kitchen and they give you the recipes for a cut of profits. I think it was about 5% or so.

Target Locations...

Southern Classic is coming to Jefferson and Orleans parishes. Apparently, they are aggressively franchising.

Now I have to plan a road trip to Alec.

That is if Popeyes see this and brings back its buffets.

KFC was decent in a pinch at the few locations that had it.

KFC tried that years ago here in Shreveport,

My claim to fame.. I managed the KFC buffet in OKC back in 1992. It only lasted a few weeks. People would steal everything off the buffet as soon as I turned my back.. whole pies, the whole pan of chicken. It was crazy.

Both of our local Chinese places (one no longer has a buffet) had to crack down on to go orders from the buffets: people treating it like a shrimp buffet, leaving with pounds of shrimp OR overloading one buffet "to go" with enough food to feed the family.
