Impressive shear, big warm nose choking off any upward growth, preventing intensification
Air masses can modify rapidly and Slidell is way out in front of the line. But the atmosphere there currently has the same issues everyone else in Louisiana has.

Me neither. I drove through it on my way from Mobile to Mandeville. Had to pull off I-10 around Moss Point, MS as it came screaming through.
That was the derecho that resulted in the Mobile Bay Regatta tragedy. The derecho and its 80 mph wind gusts overtook the annual sailboat race that runs from Sunset Pointe in Fairhope to Dauphin Island and back resulting in several sailboats capsizing which killed at least 7 people...a few of whom were never found

Not actually the same event. That was April 25. The squall line through Louisiana was on April 27. That was a pretty active week.

I don't remember the one right after it. The section of the line that hit the Regatta race was extremely bowed owed and intense when it crossed Mobile Bay. Sailboats that got caught out on the bay in it had no chance.

To be clear, I don’t believe I’ve ever teased you about your homosexuality until now. I still enjoyed using the gif because I’m a big fan of his.

CAPE, CIN, Wet Bulb, Moist Lapse Rate, I see these terms y'all use, become curious and have to go look them up.

Not at all.
Not that there's anything wrong with it if that's your thing.

Storms are intensifying going into Nola in the last 20 minutes. Even prompted a tornado warning around LaPlace

Looks like the same area the MSY radar had trouble resolving earlier. Nothingburger
