I’m late to posting this tornado watch, it was issued about an hour ago (4:00 PM CT).

Discrete cells firing south of Monroe could be a problem

Tornado warnings popping in western TN, including one just north of Memphis.

We are busy cleaning out my grandparents house in Memphis and I see NWS Memphis is doing NWS Memphis things warning the whole line per usual

Way to get me to not pay it much attention

The Southern Mode of the cold front looks all semi discrete.

There’s a special convective discussion on those discrete cells in Louisiana. They could be a problem for me here as they enter a high shear environment

Wind has been whipping here and sun was out all afternoon with dewpoints near 68. It’s definitely primed

I’m not sure why they’re warning those. I don’t see a couplet or any indication there could be a tornado

Seems an area of confluence lines ahead of the front too...id start looking that way.

It’s like the ingredients are mostly there but none of the cells are getting that deep convection to really ramp up.

I’m not saying it’s bad, just seems like nothing can really get going.

Is there still a cap in place?

They do it for just about every linear line. It's a cop out so they don't have to do any actual meteorology work
