Verbally threatening is an excuse to kill someone but physical violence is not? There was a fight going on at the sonic...the idiot killed a man. There was threatening language going on on the subway. The idiot killed a man. Similar scenario except for the violence taking place in the latter scenario, vastly different responses for some reason...threatening language is an excuse to step in and kill someone, physical violence? Not so much....strange that...

There is a third path...both of the killers are just that .....killers. Murderers. No matter their "intent" or reason they ended the lives of another person and without justifiable cause...they did not respond in kind to the threat they and those around them faced.

All of this could have been avoided if the guy had just went in the dumpster corral behind the Sonic an wizzed in there.

AR-15 rifle

Had it been a pistol, would the writers have specifically named it? AR-15 brings the anti-2nd people to a frothy state of mind.

In the New Orleans killing thread, over ninety rounds were fired. Was it a Glock 10mm, a S&W 9? If it had been a .223 caliber, AR-15 would have been all over the story.

You don't know how the Sonic parking lot encounter escalated into a fight. Ordinarily I would say the guy pissing in the parking lot of a restaurant was the violent aggressor and the employee was just doing their job but this particular employee has some terrible prison tattoos on his face so I will hold back on making any assumptions.

And you are seriously downplaying the Subway incident. For starters a subway car is like a cage - innocent victims and bystanders are trapped inside and can't walk away - which is EXACTLY why these violent crazy animals do this stuff on subways to begin with.

I don't care about the age issue- when someone commits a crime of this magnitude, they should absolutely lose the right to hide behind anonymity. That is bullshite!

Maybe drug addicts should stop threatening everyone around them with violence. They don't always have the heart for it when someone calls their bluff.

There is recent precedence that delivering a gun to a scene that is used in a murder, then fleeing the scene is not a crime, nor is it worthing of suspension for athletes. I mean come on, Gomez didn't know the gun was going to be used in a murder.

I'll say it again, you want to severely reduce crime among the lower classes? Require everyone who receives entitlement payments from the government to either get a vasectomy or their tubes tied. You have neither a constitutional right to live off the dole nor to bear children. Make a choice. You want kids? No welfare support. You want the money? Get the procedure. Crime rates from the permanent criminal underclass would crater in one generation.

It'd be funny to watch our pro-abortion "moderates" oppose that. How many times have they justified infanticide with, "Better that than a life of poverty supported by the taxpayers." Now that a large segment of their voter base may disappear watch the illogical mental gymnastics.

There was a physical altercation taking place...there was a crazy man screaming on a subway in NY who was strangled to death and most folks seem to think the strangler is a hero but this 12 year old is not??? In todays bizzaro world the kid ought to be given a parade and the key to the city...

So you are comparing the actions of a grown man who took action to quell a threat to himself and others against a feral kid who shot a man in the back?

I fully expected something like this to happen once I saw Sonic advertising that the Red Bull slushy was back.
