New Roads had one in the late 70's to early 80's.
In the mid 70's I lived in Donaldsonville and there was a sonic there on LA 1.

There was a Sonic on Florida Blvd right next to Sonny's BBQ - late 70's, maybe 1980
This makes sense. If you look at the building next to Sonny’s it still has the overhang roof on both sides with angled parking spaces and a post between each space.

In February 2019, it was reported that employees of three Ohio locations resigned en masse due to management changes and a 50% reduction of the employee hourly pay rate. Sonic later released a statement to say that no employee wages were changing.
It appears the employees took the new management to Sonic for a foot- long arse whooping, with tots.

Hammond 1974/75?...worked there when they first opened, until they found out I lied about my age and was too young to work. They loved my grill skills though.

Was going to say born in early 70s and can remember that one being there pretty much my whole life.

Late 60's in another state. They used to put little plastic animals on your cherry coke.

I remember at Mr Cook you would order on the phones at each table. I thought maybe Sonic might have stolen that idea.
I think it was back in the 1970's that there was a restaurant called "Round the Corner" on Highland, near Chimes St. It had the phones at the booths to order from as well.

I grew up in a town of about 3,000 in NE Ark. I'm 49 and I really can't hardly remember there not being a Sonic in town.

Sonic stole the ordering from a speaker idea idea from some place in Louisiana but it was way before Mr. Cook and it was a drive up place with an outdoor speaker. That was back in the 50s in Oklahoma.
